Why the f**** does Tweety keep quoting Rush Limbaugh???
Edited on Mon Jan-26-09 05:23 PM by CatWoman
he has Wexler on discussing Obama's stimulus plan, and it's all "Rush said this, Rush said that".

:grr:

and he just ridiculed Obama for the "I won" comment

:grr:

2. I turned it off
once Chris started treating Rush's "proposal" and explanation that Democrats are trying to get poor people to pay more taxes/get poor people to vote for them in the next cycle, blah blah blah, seriously.

3. Why the f*** did Obama mention Rush Limbaugh???
The best thing you can do about that
flaming nazi gasbag is to ignore him.

8. Rush is a synonym for what's wrong with our politics.
Obama used it to make sure folks knew what type of politics doesn't advance this country.

He was justified in using Rush's name, since Rush is praying for Obama, and therefore our nation, to fail.

As for Chris Matthews, he's nothing but an unadulterated Media Whore, and has never been anything but. Sure sometimes he sounds lucid, but that's just done to throw us off track. I refuse to watch is program with good reasons; he's a racist/sexist asshole that doesn't have a clue that this is what he is. He's a non talented piece of shit, if you ask me.

16. Since he's no longer running for the Senate, I guess he's free to go back to being
a blowhard for the Right.

9. Legitimize him then tie the hands of the GOP to him and scare the crap out of moderates even more.
...Palin was just a start.

The current culture of the GOP needs to be choked out and the best way to do this is to have the lose election after election with the loss of moderates because of the attitude of Limbaugh

10. He did it to embarrasse the Republicans and succeeded
This little tempest is definitely in a glass and will soon be forgotten, but the Republicans will be distancing themselves from the screaming mouths on radio from now on, unless they want to anoint Limbaugh as their official spokesperson or the leader of their party.

27. I'm afraid by mentioning Rush
Obama justified that he has an argument. If he would have ignored him, it wouldn't have mattered what the blowhard said.

31. President Obama mentioned Limbaugh first
When he told the Republicans he was meeting with that problems need to be addressed and that listening to Limbaugh isn't the way to fix the things this country needs to fix.

4. Tweety couldn't stick to one coherent worldview if his
ass was made of magnets and the world suddenly turned to steel. To expect otherwise is to court madness.

5. He gets off on stirring up the shit
He gets all excited about it. He's trying to create controversy where there isn't any, while pretending to be objective and non-partisan.

Just remember how he loved Bush's sock bulge during the mission accomplished show and proclaimed that all women love such big 'pachages' and 'strong' men. He's an idiot. A Washington insider who has his head stuck up his own conceited ass.

6. Rush is definitely an anachronism
Edited on Mon Jan-26-09 05:34 PM by StrongBad
But, to his unfortunate credit, he did have a lot of pull in the early to mid Clinton administration, as far as mobilizing right wing talking points is concerned.

With web 2.0, radio (like a lot of print formats), is as dead as dead. There is no reason why Tweety should consider him relevant at all.

11. Um...same reason you did? To give him publicity...
"Oh, you all just won't believe what Rush said today...."

"Rush says Obama is doing a bad job..."

"Rush is so horrible, he's bashing Dems again..."

Everyone realizes this all just fuels his fire right?

I would like to see a 100% Rush free month on DU. No mentions, no giving him publicity, nothing. Really, the paying sponsors don't even get as much DU advertising as Rush. The guy's brilliant.

19. Rush is brilliant!
Obviously his views are way off but as a businessman he's brilliant.

We're probably the group of people that hates him the most, here at DU, and I can't f*kin get away from the guy. He says something stupid every d*rn day and a hundred d*rn people here have to create new topics about how shocked and mad they are about it. He gets paid Millions of $$ every year because of all the mentions on DU and cause his big f*t u*ly face is on Olbermann every night and Jon Stewart every d*ng day giving him publicity.

Here's a newsflash...breaking news...Rush is going to say something tomorrow and it's going to shock you, cause he does that every d*ng da7. Just get the h*ll over it!

Ok, I'm done. I'll calm down. Whew...sorry.
