Response to the Bush Kept us Safe
Over 5000 US military dead
A world where our alliances have been strained
Historic deficits, job losses, and increased poverty in America
A resurgent Russia under a psuedo Tsar who Bush looked into his soul and thought was good.

Am I safer on 1/20/2009 than I was on 1/20/2001?

Really?

1. A laugh it the only appropriate response
it's so absurd that it doesn't even require anything beyond a hearty laugh

2. Bush did NOT keep us safe.........
it's all right wing nonsense as they attempt to rewrite history and make Bush's legacy/presidency look better. You can put lipstick on a piece of shit but in the end it's still a piece of shit.

11. Yeah. That argument kills me because 9-11 happened ON HIS
WATCH! And it's not like he didn'y have tons of warning. Oh, I forgot, "no one could have imagined using planes to strike down the buildings."

5. If you point out 9/11, they just blame Clinton.
Then they say that if we're attacked now, it's Obama's fault for outlawing torture.

Idiots.

6. don't forget
it was eight years from the first wtc attack to the second. Clinton kept us safe, and didn't wreak havoc in the process.

7. He also kept us safe from dragons!
For the past eight years, not a single American was killed, eaten, or burned by a dragon or a dragon-related attack. I feel Bush deserves credit for that.

W: He protected us from dragons.

12. Dragons don't exist; terrorists do.
Bush made sure of that by giving them a 170,000 sq mile training ground with American soldiers as live targets.

make the US any safer.

Obama has just this week filled a post recommended by the congress several years ago to appoint a single official to be responsible for security of the US continent from terrorist attack. Bush got that recommendation from congress and ignored it while claiming to be doing all possible for our defense.

He kept us from being attacked by Canada.

Maybe.
Obama has done more real positive work in the first week than Bush did in his first year.

13. What positive work did Bush do? I can't think of anything
Bush has a perfect record of screwing every single thing he ever put his hands on. His record of job destruction is spotless.
