The Republicans can bitch all they want...the bill WILL Pass |
The problem will come when they try to amend the bill and put in what they want.

1. The issue is how many of them wish to put thier neck on the line |
We all know the bill will pass. Obama will not meet thier petty tax cut demands and the bill will pass. If the economy is showing any signs of life within the next 2 years, congressional dems can point to the GOP members who voted against the ARRP bill. They will become easy targets.

5. I think it was important to try to reach out and do something about this. |
Any trickling down yet? Gee maybe if it worked, extending the tax cuts may have been an option, but like the Republicans have been saying, this has nothing to do with jobs. Wait. Just let me double check first. Nope, still no jobs.

3. They don't have the numbers to 'put in what they want.' |
The President has extended the olive branch and if they are too stupid to take it, oh well. From here on out, they look like the obstructionists as thousands get laid off every day.

4. True but Obama wants some Republican support.. |
In the long it will help make it work and it will help to share the credit and/or blame.

...because reThugs beat them over the head with policies.
My issue with dems is for the last 40 years they've SUCKED at message discipline.
