Kerry: "Not even failure can cause [Bush] to change his mind." |
|
"You can even say that George Bush is proud of the fact that not even failure can cause him to change his mind."
Brilliant soundbites from Kerry today. Very media-friendly tidbits.

"The Excuse Presidency" - a great meme because it hits Bush on his supposed strength as a strong leader. It's not nasty but it's biting.

It's unbelievable to me how the Bush team has been able to sell the idea that he is a "strong decisive leader" because he refuses to change his mind. I heard a National Guardsman, in the audience at Bush's speech there yesterday, say that he supports Bush BECAUSE he went into Iraq even with questionable evidence of WMD. He actually saw this as a sign of Bush's strength, rather than as stupid-ass stubbornness. Unbelievable.
But the fact remains they have sold this as a Bush character strength rather than character defect.
Kerry needs to keep saying this: Bush refuses to change even when he FAILS.

8. I am still happy after hearing Kerry on Imus |

He said many great things, one was Bush should be asked what he should be doing in Iraq now not asking what Kerry will do in the future. Who knows what state Iraq will be in when Kerry takes over. It's getting worse by the day.
