OMG, look at the size of this crowd!

Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry speaks to supporters at a rally in Madison, Wisconsin September 15, 2004.

Now, tell me about those polls again?

In the meantime, Bush hasn't even come out of his hidey hole today.

1. Bush is afraid of people - he hates them - these pictures speak
much louder than rethug polls of bogus voters who will never make it to the polls

23. I think the poster was being sarcastic ?
There may have been 18k REPORTED, but certainly 18k didn't actually go of their own free will.

Bush did have a huge crowd in Denver. I don't know about the 18k number, but it was a ton of people. However, you have to take into account the fact that John Elway was the one introducing him. In Colorado, you can bet more than half were there to see him, not Bush.

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/3728297/detail.html

A loud, cheering, crowd of 18,000 people filled Coors Amphitheatre, formerly Fiddler's Green, waving signs and flags and chanting, "Four more years," as Bush arrived around 8:45 a.m.

Bush was surrounded by the state's biggest Republican players -- Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell, Republican senate candidate Pete Coors and Gov. Bill Owens. He was introduced by football icon John Elway, who told the cheering crowd that Bush knows how to make the right calls when the pressure's on.

31. The sad thing is...
...if Elway ran for Governor of Colorado he'd win in a walk. For most people here, he walks on water.

36. Sad But True -
I have hope however that Coors won't walk away with Senate just because he's a Coors. I phoned unafiliated new voters tonight for Salazar and was encouraged by responses.

3. Aaaaah, it's just a focus group
You know, like those millions marching in the streets last year, saying we shouldn't invade Iraq? Well, I guess we saw who was right about that now, haven't we?

Seriously, every DUer rich and poor, well-connected or hermit in a cave, has to be dedicated to GOTV (get out the vote) efforts. The more votes, the more better.

5. I'd give anything to have him come to my state
But alas, we are not a battleground state (unless you count the Civil War, which they're still fighting here).

I would stand in whatever line or crowd for hours just to be part of the masses showing my support.

10. We can do much better than that
He should come back Saturday, 10/16. The Badgers are away and don't start till 4:30 that day, there will be few people working and no school. 50-70,000 (like we were hoping for before the rain) would not be out of the question. I know that building, and it can't hold more than 10-15,000, I don't think.

17. That's what makes me think the polls are crap...
Everywhere Kerry or Edwards go they draw HUGE crowds. The most impressive was the crowd in Ohio of 15,000 at midnight on a work night just to see Kerry and Edwards.

"Anti-Kerry protesters outnumber Kerry supporters 70-1 in Wisconsin.
Kerry now has triple digit deficit in the new CNN/Time/Gallup poll."

pathetic, I say after we get our mandate we break up the puke party on the 24/7 cable spin machines.

This picture looks freaking Amazing! There are so many people out on the street who are so worried about Kerry cause they don't use the access that some of us do. I tell them not to listen to the propoganda machine polls!!

33. Wow! Way to go Badgerland!
It's great that so many young people are getting involved in politics this year. We may see the highest turnout among young adults ever. It's funny how the pollsters are arguing about whether to count "registered voters" or "likely voters". They're ignoring those that have never voted before yet are determined to help fire Bush.
