I have to join the growing chorus of DUers who want new congressional leadership |
|
I've had enough of this shit.
Republicans need to be shown their place, and put in it.
WE won this fucking election - and the win didn't hinge on a single state in which Obama's campaign manager doubled as the secretary of state.
Our victory was decisive. The people spoke. They are as sick of the GOP's bullshit as we are.
And Republicans in Congress need to acknowledge, live, breath and sleep that.

I think there are only a handful who are worth keeping in Congress and in the Senate. Reid needs to be the first to go. He is not up to the job of Senate Majority Leader.

want 'bipartisanship.' Did the repubs give a fuck about bipartisanship when they ran the country into the ground? C'mon Reid - do the right thing.

5. The problem is, it's not only the Repugs that need to be purged... |
|
There are a hell of allot of (so called) Dems that need to go as well, both House and Senate. A good starting point would be Reid and Pelosi.

8. Yeah when McCain closed the floor debate saying that his one urgent request was for |
|
Democrats to stop bragging about how they won, and THEN Reid thanked him for his leadership, I thought, how cute for our leader to think that. I hope having a Democratic Prez and Vice Prez will lessen his influence and perhaps influence him in a good way.

...and fuck this '60' votes to pass anything in the Senate...it's 50 + 1 and if Reid has an issue with that arithmetic he needs to be fired..If the rethugs want to filibuster, MAKE THE MOTHERFUCKERS FILIBUSTER...Show them up to be the obstructionist pricks we know they are...

succeeding on moving legislation intact, who was compromising with the Dems . . .
How come Democrats are sitting still for this ridiculous leadership?

|
I'm so tired of trying to listen to Pelosi and Reid speak. They bore and frustrate me the hell out of me and I'm interested! Can you imagine what or how those who lend only a half ear must feel?
Republicans are good about putting forth those who have the oratory skills. Shoot, most of them sound like preachers. I am so very thankful our intelligent and decent president has the oratory skills to match his other great qualities. If only our Democratic Congress .....

25. Yep. I think Pelosi would read it very quick with just one Q to Reid, "Weren't you a fighter once?" |
|
Edited on Sat Feb-07-09 08:39 PM by bridgit
Then a gentle Liz-I smile/pat on the back ala Lord Burghley and poof! The scene changes. I say leave Pelosi there for a time but start in the old boys well-of-the-senate-club where stuff gets stuffed and buggered up sideways. They think they're all that and a bag of chips then I say start right there but yep!
The times had better be ah'chang'in

enjoys "Marching in D.C." I wish we could find some way to organize something and back up Obama by gathering together with the message he's reminding them of!
We had an election, the people spoke AND HE WON!! People Power out in the open can't hurt and very well could go a long way to "remind them" all over again!!
A show of force never hurt as a reminder! I'm ready, and if anyone can think of a way to get this underway... give me a holler! And no, I'm NOT GOOD at ORGANIZATION! But I have bells & whistles and unfortunately missed the Inauguration!

And the chorus sings louder every day!
Heck, you or I could stand up better to the rethugs than our wimpy and politically entrenched weak kneed leaders. Harry and Nancy must go --- but alas, we on DU have not much influence as to what happens on The Hill.
