So what kind of drinking game could we play with an Obama press conference |
|
** Everytime you want to stand up and applaud you have to drink?
** Everytime the camera shows the face of a republican scowling you have to drink?
I guess the presidental drinking games are officially retired

16. Yep. That's guaranteed to become the Obama-impersonator's standby |
|
kinda like Reagan's "Well..."
I suppose everyone has a favorite utterance to buy time whilst gathering a thought. "Aaaand" would be Obama's. I always wonder why such folks, who are brilliant orators, can't just leave a little dead air to collect their thoughts--is it for fear of being talked over?

6. When he says "Let me be clear on this" but let's face it--Obama isn't an idiot like Bush |
|
so there are less opportunities. We had to do something with Bush to get through the times he spoke publicly. With Obama you are just happy to have an intelligent and well spoken president again.

He said that he inherited the deficit. Hopefully the talking heads won't beat him up for it.

12. Don't count his stutters |
|
You'll be in the ER.
Seriously, hope he works on that going forward.
I don't expect him to be a master impromptu artist like Bill Clinton, who can give a 45 minute lecture as though he's reading off a teleprompter, but all the same...

whatever will we do without 9/11, Terrorists, Tax-cuts, and "Freedom"? Did you see the town-hall today? It was scary.

17. Every time he speaks in complete sentences... |
|
Every time he doesn't duck a difficult question.
Every time you smile and think "God, can you imagine how * would have 'handled' that?"

21. Yes, post-conference, that was a close one... |
|
I'd certainly have alcohol poisoning if I'd tried any of those!
But it sure was great just to smile each time, instead.
