We don't NEED no stinkin' memos!! We don't need icing, we got CAKE!!

A talking-head on CNN read a viewer email earlier today pointing out that the supposedly-forged memos were the "icing on the cake" of the Chimp's disgraceful neglect of his commitments and subsequent cover-up. Well you know what? Cake doesn't need icing. I hate icing. We don't need no stinkin' icing and we don't need the memos.

-We've got a quote from Chimp himself that he went into the guard to avoid combat.
-We've got info that his family pulled strings to get him into the guard, jumping over a waiting list of hundreds.
-We've got info that his family had him sent from Texas due to embarassing behavior.
-We've got undisputed official doc's saying Chimpy missed his physical, and no clear explanation why.
-We've got undisputed official docs showing he was grounded.
-We've got plemty of evidence that he did not fulfill his duties.
-We've got the secretary saying he was resented -- in a freakin champagne unit where she says many boys got in from special treatment, and even THERE he was resented -- for acting as if rules didn't apply to him.
-We've got a slew of unanswered questions, starting with "What happened to the missing documents" and moving on to "Who the hell remembers George W. Bush doing what he was supposed to be doing?"

We don't need fonts, spacing, kerning. Mix what we've got and bake it -- it's one big, layered cover-up. We don't need icing.

2. You could, of course, but a cover-up is no small matter

and goes to character, credibility, and voter confidence.

It's not what he did thirty years ago, it's the lies that continue today. THAT is a real issue, imho.
