2. It's pretty ridiculous. The election was last November! The
last I read, Coleman said God wanted him to keep on fighting. I think it stinks. Seems like a court should have ended this long ago.

5. Probably as long as Harry Reid won't assert himself by seating Franken.

15. Not to hand "Give 'Em Head, Harry" Reid too much credit, but...
I don't see him being able to do it over a senate filibuster.

I mean, if I were Olympia Snowe I don't think I'd vote for cloture on that one. Just sayin'. The GOP won't turn on their own like that, so long as Coleman wants to go on fighting.

I agree, though, that it's ridiculous, and at some point I suspect Reid IS going to have to push this thing. Legal challenges can take years. That ain't right.

18. I don't think Reid can do anything without an election certificate
That was the delay with Burris, remember?

If he seated Al before the SOS issues the certificate and the governor signs it, it would look hypocritical and uberpolitical

10. Ummm, because it would mean one more reliably progressive vote in the Senate?

9. I read that the court was losing patience with Coleman.
After 12 days of drip-drip-drip fighting over a single ballot at a time, the courts were ordering the Coleman and Franken campaign to sort the ballots into categories and speed things up.

It's probably going to be a couple weeks, but Al will get seated. Certainly not multiple months.

12. Until the legally-mandated process is completed
It may be slow, but compare Minnesota with the rush-to-judgement, fuzzy-laws, screw-the-voter scenarios we had in Ohio, New Mexico, and Florida in recent years.

Speaking as a Buckeye who has been disenfranchised in the past, I think your state has it right.

At the rate things are going with Coleman's people having no limitation on what can be introduced and how many theories without evidence they are allowed to preent....

The recount was a case study in how to conduct one...

However since then, it has become a farce!!!
