After a year of investigating a South King County obstetrician-gynecologist accused of sexually assaulting and harassing patients and employees, prosecutors expect to file seven criminal charges against Charles Momah today.
The charges include four counts of sexual assault and three of insurance fraud, said Dan Donohoe, a spokesman for the King County prosecutor's office. He declined to discuss the charges in more detail until they are filed.
"I feel like I've been acknowledged as a victim," said Carmen Burnetto, a former patient who alleges Momah repeatedly asked her out, fondled her breasts and tried to stop her from leaving his exam room.
"As long as he's been running around doing what he wants it's like he didn't do anything wrong."
