Is anybody else making themselves broke
with donations? I try to be responsible, but there are so many candidates and groups that I want to donate to, and I feel very strongly about which direction this country should go in. I'll calm down after November 2nd...unless Bush somehow wins. If that happens, I will be giving some pretty big donations (for me) to the ACLU and People For the American Way. I have already donated to both groups, but I will go hardcore if the election goes the wrong way.

2. Hey, this is the Democratic party, no one expects any of us to give...
...more than we can afford and if money is an object, which it is for most of us, then time and volunteering is perhaps even a better way to show support.

4. I'm retired and so far it's up to over $1000 so I'm
bowing out of the donation bandwagon and they are on their own now. Hell, little puppies, kittens, environment, Heifer Int., HSA, etc. all need money for stuff too, so for politics - I'm tapped out.

6. Yeah, me too. $250/month. Kinda stings, but Bush is that bad.

I set it up to automatically withdraw, and I think it should work out to be the $2000 limit by the time of the election. It was affordable this way, but barely.

On Edit: If Bush wins, we need to get organized locally in person. First rule of DU club? Uh, huh, that's right.

8. If my husband saw my credit card
He would kill me. Won't post what it is up to, but have maxed out on two candidates. Not to mention parties and Kerry Gear. If I disappear from the DU site oneday it because he has found it. it is worth every penny!!!!!!!

9. Just about.
Paid myself a bonus to that I could contribute to the local dems. We are on a tight budget as it is, and add copy costs (I am a flyer junkie), Kerry gear stuff, gas and donations it really adds up.

It will all be worth every penny in Nov.

11. The good news is that my dept store cc are at zero
no time to "shop". Glad when this is over. When Kerry is President we can all exhale, and get back to the hard work of helping the country get back on track, but at least we will be able to breathe. Planning a huge party in January when Kerry is sworn in.
