My Repug Neighbor Says - Repugs Won't Cooperate With Pres. Obama Until.......
President Obama promises not to go after Bush and his corrupt administration. Once they know that there will be no consequences for the last 8 years then they will start cooperating with President Obama.

He feels that Rove is pulling the Repug strings behind the scenes and this is the plan.

Rove knows that President Obama can't be successful in getting the country out of this crisis that *Co put us in - until the Repugs get behind the President.

He says that this blackmail position is Rove's ticket to security.

Has anyone else heard this or is my Repug neighbor just dreaming this up?

1. I Haven't Heard That
But I always believed the Dems were so weak because Repug strings (Rove) might have included the death of a Dem's first born. I have never understood the lack of backbones in our Congress. I understood our majority was small after the 2006 elections but I thought we should have stood up more to the Repugs unless there was a very, very good reason.

2. BS - they wont "cooperate" with him even then.
And no, I haven't heard that.

What I DID read at Freetopic is this meme that "they cant wait until Obama is in handcuffs" ... huh? Why?

Anyone have a clue?

4. Projection...they know that Bush and Cheney are guilty so...
they have to accuse Obama of some unspecified crime. It's like the Nixon revenge. It took them 30 years but they finally got to impeach a Dem president. Of course it was a political parody that only fired up the weak minded but it created enough of an edge to shoehorn Bush into the White House. Now they are dreading the consequences of real crimes.

6. What Should They Fear?
Aren't these the shitstains who also said that torture was legal and abuses of executive power was just fine...especially when it lead to destroying both this country's military and economy. And now they're concerned about invetigations? That says a lot about those oxygen thieves and their guilt...but I'm not the one who needs to judge...a full investigation will do for me.

Time to turn the repuugnican noise machine off...they're not gonna work with President Obama...it's political suicide and both we and President Obama knows it. Yes, they want him to fail, it's the only hopes their corrupt party can ever regain any type of power.

Tell your GOOP neighbor that everything he heard is right and even worse. That HIS name is on one of Obama's lists and he's coming after you!!! Ooooga Boooga Boooga. Hell, they're gonna believe it anyway, and maybe this will force these criminals to show their hands.

or they're carbon based CDs that play whatever track is punched, no cognition.

Either way, :wtf: are they doing in charge of anything?

I hadn't thought of it, but nothing would surprise me. We know their decisions have nothing to do with the welfare of the American people.

11. They weren't going to cooperate with the president regardless of KKKarl Rove
Your Repuke neighbor is full of shit, but he is right in that the Repugs don't want to be held accountable for anything THEY did, and that includes Rove.

13. i don't think it has anything to do with bush. i think they are hitching
their wagon to an obstructionist star. they think they have a winning strategy. we shall see. so far, polls don't show it as winning. I hope their strategy bites them in the ass. and i almost hope the republican governors 'thinking about' not taking the money don't take it. because their constituents won't be happy with them then.

15. The Repugs Are Pulling The Same Crap They Did With Clinton
The Repugs are pulling the same crap they did with former president Clinton. Most of the Republican Party marched in lockstep opposition to almost every Clinton legislative initiative.

Watching the current Republican antics, I'd say they didn't learn a blamed thing from what happened to them since 1995.

I say that we help today's crop of Republicans in taking their party towards the same oblivion that the Whigs went to back in the 1850's.

16. Porbably partly true - except that after the Repukes get their guarantee, they still won't cooperate
I don't think that's the issue, though - I think the Republicans are refusing to cooperate because they're simply incapable of cooperating.

19. Why would it matter
The GOP is irrelevant in the house. In the senate, after Franken is seated you only need 1 to get past a filibuster. And if you can't get that one, then just let them filibuster for 10-15 days. Let the public see the GOP senators reading the phone book as a way to block healthcare reform or middle class reforms. Why do we even need the 'cooperation' of authoritarian republicans?

Besides, the dems will likely pick up senate seats in 2010. So the filibuster will be neutralized.

21. Oh please. What bullshit. They won't cooperate with him anyway.
They have to try to make him out to be a failure so they can try to win an election. They don't give a rat's ass about their constituents or the country. It's all about the party.

Republicans are such liars.

22. Even if Obama gives in to them, they'll just keep attacking.
The only thing to be done at this point is to completely break the Republican Party's back - drive them into such a state of powerlessness that they'll have to choose between total disbandment and shifting left and playing ball.

24. Nonsense. They were doing the same thing to Clinton when he was pres,
Rove has nothing to do with it.
The GOPs have NO real policy, ethics or programs, so when the Dempocrats are in power the GOPs "Just Say No!"

They will keep doing this till they are voted out of office in such numbers they become completely irrelevant, probably 2010.
