Edited on Thu Sep-16-04 10:28 AM by buycitgo

the September 30 debate looms without either candidate agreeing to terms, according to discussion on AAR as I type this
what gives?
I thought Kerry has already agreed.
anybody know if Kerry has yet to sign, or are they refusing until the chimpaign agrees, as well?

1. Kerry's agreed, but we won't let Rove dictate the terms |
|
Kerry is willing to do the debates the way the Commission arranged them but Rove doesn't want certain things and so is putting lots of conditions. We have to be firm. Bush needs the debates as much as Kerry does.

they really should be concentrating on what a NONleader * is
he can't do ANYthing without being backed into a corner, except wage war on lameass countries, the environment, the constitution, or start SMEAR campaigns

6. funny you should mention this.....read this, from catwoman |
|
he's not a leader; he's a fricking COWARD:
catwoman said this in LBN....hope she doesn't mind, but Kerry should SAY something like this.....surrogate, anyway:
He also hides behind his wife, his VP, Condi, and no one calls him a coward for this. I keep saying, remember the video of the Taliban beating those Iraqi women in the streets? Watch the Young repug video of kicking the woman, watch Bush's Secret Service pulling hair, hitting and dragging women, listen to Cheney use profanity on the Senate floor and say he feels better for it and notice how Bush endorses all these 'civilized' behaviors. And then tell me, how exactly is Bush different from Saddam? OH, and lets not forget that the torture goes all the way up Bush! He is far from a 'christian' if a 'christian' has values and ethics. They are a bunch of dirtbag liars.

7. Which leads into his "I didn't do it' defense of his record |
|
Clinton, Sadamm, Democrats.
Look what we are dealing with is a person that has skated thru life, protected in the sure snd certian knowledge that no matter how he f*s up, someone will be there to clear up the mess.
Now he's got himself a job where everbody is watching his every move, watching his every decision, every utterance. I bet it was VERY un-nerving those first few months of office....which explains why he looked like he did on 9/11.
He is WAAAAAAAAY over his head and he knows it, but he can't get out now, he's in too deep.

8. Kerry Needs to Debate -- Booosh Doesn't |
|
The media's near-blackout on Kerry is effectively neutering his campaign. He is putting on a great campaign, but nobody hears about it, and we simply don't get to hear Kerry speak on TV at all. We are extremely dependent on the debates to get our message out.
* is close enough to steal the election again. He doesn't need any debates unless he falls far behind in the polls, and that can't happen as long as they keep Kerry off the TV.
Ergo, there will be no debates unless Rove gets to call the shots.

9. If the Bush camp doesn't agree, Kerry should go on anyway |

And I hope he's told the commission that he's holding them to their commitments of providing the venues and air time. Are they planning to call the whole thing off if Bush doesn't show?
