Kerry Wise Not To Touch Memo Story....
Thank goodness Kerry left this story alone. Sure, the content is true but the history of the documents have killed any chance of this story of doing us any good. Here we are saddled with the great nuanced angle of losing arguments even though we are on the right side.

Look at all the recent information out there about Iraq - the Pentagon is withholding casualtiy information, republicans are hammering Bush's leadership in Iraq, thugs and insurgents control cities in Iraq and there are places unsafe for US troops to go (take a pause and think of this one for a bit - there are places in Iraq too dangerous for American troops to go - that is powerful in and of itself), the CIA is leaking reports telling of the dismal developments in Iraq, now the Neocons are floating stories of bombing Iran and on it goes. Is this country screwed up TODAY under Bush? Who cares about 30 yrs ago...and frankly, Kerry should think of running an updated Goldwater ad...you know, the one where the little girl is pulling petals off of the flower....

Kerry needs to stay off the damn Memo story.

1. Yep, his campaign is handling the "dirty stories" brilliantly
His hands never tocuh the dirt, so he can't be connected to it.

2. but if the secretary gets lots of interviews ?
If she is interviewed in the context of the documents and tells what people felt about Bush and what he did, that is going to hurt him

3. Division of Labor
DNC: Pummel Bush mercilessly on his character (Al Gore and Dem. Senators not up for re-election, feel free to join the fun)

Kerry: Pummel Bush mercilessly on jobs and taxes.
