Greenville SC Tea Party

The funny thing about this is the majority of these people will be getting a tax cut.

They rather pay more taxes under Bush then less under Obama...

1. Since when is Greenville SC "the nation"?
Or are you thinking of the 400 that showed up in NYC? I think there is an upper limit to participation in such things. They've already just about reached it.

3. Angry middle class WASP racist
I'm sure these people were questioning how much the war in Iraq was going to cost in 2003 or how much Medicare Part D was going to cost the American Tax Payer.

Nope their evangelical President was ordained by God so everything he did was ok.

19. Fun facts about Greenville
Males have a median income of $35,111 versus $25,339 for females. The per capita income for the city was $23,242. About 12.2% of families and 16.1% of the population were below the poverty line, including 22.7% of those under age 18 and 17.5% of those age 65 or over.

National average: The real median earnings of men who worked full time, year-round climbed between 2006 and 2007, from $43,460 to $45,113. For women, the corresponding increase was from $33,437 to $35,102.

2. Where were these people in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008
Oh right they had one of "their own" a dominionist white evangelical Christian who wanted a new Crusade in office.

This is nothing more than a klan rally masked as a spending rally. These people are mad that the President is black.

21. They're probably not pretending.

They have been fed a "magician's trick" stream of lies starting with Paul Harvey. It's the whole "slight of hand" strategy that has been in place since the Reagan years. Probably longer.

This is how you get the masses to swallow the crap they are fed whole cloth. The right (representing the wealthy who contribute to them) tell the working class that they will only get ahead if they work hard for the money. So they work hard. Then they tell them that the only reason they aren't getting ahead is because them losers over there (welfare queens, Blacks, Hispanics, Liberals, etc.) are spending all of the money you would get in tax breaks if they weren't leaching off of you. Now you have a whole population of people who will work for crap and who, instead of rightfully blaming the wealthy "right" for their pathetic lot in life, are blaming the lazy mooching scapegoats the wealthy have created for them.

The magician's slight of hand. They are always looking down--and hey, at least they aren't like "those people"--and never looking up. That is way the Rick Santelli rant timing was so important and clearly orchestrated and coordinated with wealthy backers. Even the right wing radio audience were getting smart enough to finally start looking up by blaming their demise on Wallstreet. They needed something to keep the sheeple looking down. Down on those losers who bought houses that they couldn't afford instead of up at the real cause--greedy and corrupt oinkers.

6. Was just reading something interesting about these "tea parties"
Seems there's some indication that this is another astro-turfing propaganda move and as usual the morons/lemmings they call their base are falling right in line. Big money and experienced GOP operatives put this all in place last summer and used Santelli to launch their new project. Santelli should be called on to answer to this.

Edited on Sun Mar-01-09 11:16 AM by lunatica
Let's start calling them 'teabaggers'. Like, "Limpballs is a teabagger", or referring to them as the 'neo Limpball teabaggers' so we can distinguish them from the other neo crap labels as the special group that takes their cues from Rush. After all, he is their de facto leader no?
