The bizzare and mixed messages of Republican Congressional leaders, and their distancing and embracing of Limbaugh on alternate days, has eroded support for Republican Congressional leaders among Democrats, Independents and within thier own party.
The latest Pew Report which showed President Obama with still high approval ratings generated big comments on the MSM because it had fallen from February's high of 64%. Republican congressional leaders now see their numbers at 28% and can only dream of Obama's 'low' number of 59%.
The MSM media has yet to focus on the numbers reflecting near universal rejection of Republican Congressional dithering in which even a majority of Republicans no longer support them. Only 43% of all Republicans approve of the job that they are doing.
There are no signs in the poll that Republican congressional leaders are benefiting from the public’s concern about major economic policies. In fact, approval of Republican congressional leaders has fallen from 34% in February to 28% currently, the lowest rating for GOP leaders in nearly 14 years of Pew Research surveys.
