Drug use/abuse is a personal issue...
and shouldn't be a crime anyways...

FAUX OUTRAGE.

the only bad thing is that it makes Joe come out kinda' like a hypocrite... "Drug Czar and all..." This is Joe Biden's "Palin moment".

3. It would be his "Palin moment"
I mean, he has done incredible harm to America through his anti-drug legislation , creating the drug czar etc. Apparently he trusted the government to tell his daughter about hard drugs instead of doing it himself. We don't know for sure yet but the media people that have seen it say it's identical description and shot in delaware.

4. Explain to me how Biden "created the drug czar."
Please explain that statement.

I'm so interested in hearing it. Should be fun.

5. he coined the phrase
and from his perch on the Judiciary Committee championed the position. It really is a fair critique.

6. Veep Biden has been an active anti-drug advocate for 25+ years...
"The title was first published in a 1982 news story quoting Joe Biden by United Press International which reported that “Senators... voted 62-34 to establish a ‘drug czar’ who would have overall responsibility for U.S. drug policy."

7. Also...
how many of you KNOW that the other day Veep Biden announced Gil Kerlikowske as the new "Drug Czar"...

Problem is... Kerlikowske has a son presently incarcerated for drug crimes...

So you have the man who coined the phrase "Drug Czar" and this nations latest "Drug Czar" and they both have issues in their own families...

Anyone getting the hypocrite vibe?

If the administration doesn't want this kind of scrutiny then STOP PUTTING PEOPLE IN FUCKING PRISON FOR 25 YEARS FOR A PACK OF ROLLING PAPERS IN THE GLOVE BOX OR A JOINT IN THE POCKET!!!

8. Right. So he never talked to his kids about the dangers of drugs....okay.
Edited on Sun Mar-29-09 10:37 PM by Jennicut
Apparently he has a brother and cousins/uncles who had alcohol problems in the past and won't drink at all (being in an Irish family and all). So he has been directly affected at the very least by what addictions can do to you. I doubt he skipped over the drug stuff with his kids. You can disagree with his position and not have to make it personal.
Also, we don't know if this story is even true. The lawyer of the man who was shopping around the tape decided to stop working for this client today. So who knows?
