Has "potrage" replaced "poutrage" as the rage of the day?
Obama was not respectful enough to those who think that the legalization of marijuana would end the economic crisis. He and the audience giggled about this question.

Has potrage replaced poutrage?

2. I feel sorry for Obama in this situation.
I'm pro legalization of grass. However, if Obama said he was in favor of it, the MSM would play that over, and over, and over, like they did with
Rev. Wight. The message would be...blackman=doper. They would scream it loudly, drowning out Obama's attempts to fix everything else.

3. Yeah I agree...his giving quiet support for Sen. Webb's intentions for sentencing reform
says to me what Obama really thinks on this issue. It has to be a grassroots movement, not from the top at this point. I'm positive if a decrim. bill went before Obama he would sign it.

4. The Justice Department has announced an end to medical marijuana raids
Edited on Sun Mar-29-09 02:17 PM by HamdenRice
so between that and support for Webb's initiative, it's pretty clear where he stands.

But it seems that the DU pot lobby sees this as a question of not enough respect for "pot solves all economic problems" meme, not about the substance of legalization.

That's why I fear that "potrage" is the new "poutrage."

5. I don't have a fight with Obama about legalization at this point
But I might sometime. And if I do, I'll not give much of a shit about people who call it potrage.

6. Potrage is an oxymoron since pot only makes you mellow!
But I like where you're going with it. I, for one, was very angry at how the President laughed off THE MOST POPULAR QUESTION IN ALL CATEGORIES OF THE ONLINE QUESTIONS!!!!
Sorry for the caps, maybe I need to smoke a bit to cool off!
I guess I mean to say the Obama doesn't have to agree with me (and millions of others) b this issue, but at least give us the reason WHY! I think we are owed that much.

8. I never knew...
...how "passionate" some potheads can be.

I used to smoke in college but got tired of getting stupid on purpose and the shit got too strong.

But some of the replies I've read indicate that the pot issue for some is more important than anything else, really, ANY thing else.

12. your post reveals a few things
1. Pot made you stupid
2. It got 'too strong' for you
3. You are perfectly willing to stereotype people that are passionate about reform, saying that we think it's more important than anyone else.

Perhaps you'd benefit from re-examining your attitudes. Maybe not? But since we're making casual observations about people....well, there you are.
