I'll say it I want Evan Bayh to fail
Edited on Mon Mar-30-09 05:45 AM by AllentownJake
I want his little movement to fall apart and for him to lose re-election even if it costs us a seat in the Senate. The man stands for big business not the people of Indiana. He represents the worse elements in our party and his removal from our ranks electorally wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.

5. If it was someone other than Bayh leading this
I might be prone to believe it.

However his state is in the tops on foreclosures and he stood against people renegotiating said mortgages. The man is slime.

8. I have also read that Bayh has done this kind of
stunt repeatedly during his political career. Nothing ever goes anywhere, but he wants the attention as a moderate. So he has a pattern of trying to stand out, accomplishing nothing.

13. Not all Blue dogs need cover
Sen. Kohl, (D) WI, is in the safest seat in the US yet he became a Blue dog. Why, because he is a corporatist.

7. I think his little movement WILL fall apart. I think some of the folks who
fell in line behind him (especially the juniors) are already kicking themselves for doing such a stupid shoot-from-the-hip thing and are furiously looking for ways to get the hell out.

10. no thanks
I'd prefer someone who was more progressive and didn't bolt the party position as much. And I'd put my money where my mouth is if an electable (in the general) primary opponent can be recruited. But I'll take him over someone who will never support any position I hold and, given how close some votes have been, would prevent a lot of good legislation from being enacted.
