Is there a Bay of Pigs lurking in the near future? By that I mean a situation, |
|
possibly military but more likely involving the economy, in which Obama takes the advice of the experts and ignores his own gut reaction. The decisions regarding the fate of the Big 3 auto companies may be this event. I expect Obama to make a major mistake sooner or later, he himself has warned us repeatedly that he will. What matters is what happens afterward. Does he keep digging deeper, or does he cut his losses and turn around? Do the American people support him or abandon him?

2. No, seriously. My eyes tend to glaze over when the topic is economics, |

but I have the general impression that there are a lot of "experts" from Wall Street and the Federal reserve trying to fix the system without changing anything. Since they are the people who got us into this mess over the last 30 years or so, I expect that if Obama follows their advice, there will be a big problem, although after all that's happened so far, it's hard to imagine what a big problem would be.
