A political site that tracks Obama's promises:
This is a great site that is keeping track of all the campaign promises and what the Administration has done so far. I think this would be a good tool for people to bookmark since there is so much criticism of Pres. Obama on this board for promises not kept.

3. True
So far, it is an overall very good record...at least by the numbers.

7. Those are pretty good numbers
What I would like to see is a comparison between the previous administration and the current one. Those would be interesting factoids.

11. Actually, when I saw what he did in the first couple of weeks,
I needed a nap. Yeah, there have been a few appointments I haven't liked, a few appointments that should have happened but didn't and I'm damn nervous about Wall Street but dayum, this guy doesn't rest and a lot of what he's done has been good stuff.

"I won't be beholden to special interests"

FAIL.

13. It's a little early to come to that conclusion don't you think?
There are a lot of complex problems out there and it's likely some of the decisions he makes will not be in YOUR best interest. Let's be honest here, your interests are probably "special" to someone else.

It's easy to call someone a corporate whore, but will you be here thanking him or apologizing when he makes choices that benefit you - or that you approve of?

Probably not.

14. Decent start
Now, there's a few decisions and appointments in there that I don't agree with but that's to be expected. Quite a lot is "in the works" but that's normal for the legislative process. Considering he's only just over two months in, that's a pretty decent record.

16. No, they'll do their usual.
Ignore the good and harp on the bad and exaggerate the bad and claim the bad is proof of bad faith on his part, thus eliminating the need to give him credit for the good.

Rinse, repeat, congratulate self for purity.

But it's worth reading the inanity that is that post to read the response to it from Tarc. Absolutely classic. It's times like this that the  and :applause: smilies still don't adequately convey the appropriate depth of appreciation.

:)

ok deal

Just wanted to add.

I like Obama I disagree positionally with him on the issue of war and torture. If I am not allowed to hold those values and post then too bad for the dems. Enjoy your mini freeper dump because that is how they ran off all their moderate (left of Hitler) members.

DU not for lefties.

O.K. deal

22. Works great if you look at each promise on its own.
Not so good with aggregates--since, for instance, "Pushing for a college football playoff system" is given as much weight as "Closing Guantanamo Bay"--that all promises are considered equal. (Although, for all I know, a system breaking the BCS stranglehold might be a major issue for some.)

Still, it's great to see how much Obama has done, and how many things are in the works, and it hasn't even been 100 days yet.
