No soul searching no Colgate in G20 diplomacy

"There was no peering into anyone's soul, and there was no bonding over Colgate toothpaste.

But U.S. President Barack Obama, while taking a more businesslike approach to diplomacy than his predecessor George W. Bush, used his debut on the world stage to start developing his own brand of rapport with fellow world leaders.

In Obama's first face-to-face meeting with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, there were smiles and handshakes but none of the backslapping that characterized the relationship between their predecessors, George W. Bush and Vladimir Putin."

Bush was such a waste of space. I am glad to see President Obama is bringing back dignity to our foreign relations.

1. What a relief! Plus, I don't know that they've ever even met.
I had no doubt we could depend on this president to not embarrass us all.

2. Yeah exactly we may actually get something done instead of fake talk
about seeing into each others souls.

3. No rubbing someone's shoulders and making them uncomfortable?
What is the world coming too? At least poor Angela Merkel knew she was safe this time.
