Alaska GOP calls for Begich resignation: if they were not serious this would be funny |

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/04/02/alaska-gop-calls-for-begich-resignation/Republicans sure love democracy. You win an election, they fight you in the courts (see Franken, Al). You win an election and they ask you to resign for no reason.

1. Well, at least they are admitting the GOP DOJ fucked up this one |
|
So why should the Democrat who won step aside when it was a case of Republicans fucking over a fellow Republican?

3. They are insisting that although it was Bush's DOJ, |
|
the career attorneys on the case were all Democrats.

It's directed from above. Not only that, the career people were all picked for their partisan bias during the Bush years.
Republicans fucked over Republicans, plain and simple
And my bullshit comment was directed at asshole Republicans.

11. Right, I understood that the bullshit wasn't directed at me. |
|
I wonder who old Ted pissed off in the Bush administration. I have heard that there was some bad blood between him and Gonzales.

8. Yes, a senator was charged and no one in DOJ was told. |

2. More proof that the Alaska GOP is completely clueless. |
|
Not that that's news to anyone.

4. It's funny anyway. How can you not laugh at the patheticness of it all. |
|
Maybe Holder will decide to retry the case. That'd be fun.

6. Oh, they're babbeling again. A special elecion would costr too much |
|
and they know that. Besodes...the new Senator was duely elected, and there isn't any Senator who would step down once he had the job!

9. Funny, I wanted * to resign 8 years ago, and I was told "he won, get over it" |
|
In honor of that, tough AK GOP, he won, get over it.

10. The fact that they are serious... |
|
...is what makes it side-splittingly funny.
And that is the reaction they deserve: gales and gales of guffawing, knee-slapping laughter, subsiding to giggles punctuated with snorts.
