Keep being diplomatic, keep the world engaged in new, better ideas, and keep making us proud!

Oh, and keep Michelle, because you are both peaches!

2. he's making a hard task look easy.
That's real competence. The opposition really doesn't have much they can say against him unless they lie. Michelle too; she's wonderful.

taller than he is, and, looking again now, almost prettier. Hard thing to pull off.
I'm thrilled our first lady is not a zombied, drugged, programmed, wasted, unaccomplished, curtain fabric-clad individual walking a step or two behind the biggest a-hole in our recent national history.
I'm grateful she is now and will be in the future contributing serious and genuine work of her own in our behalf.
I'm thrilled she is real, warm, hugging, focused, sharing, genuine, brilliant and accomplished.

The fact that her eyes are clear, her smile is genuine those are the things that matter.

Her clothes (for the most part) work well for the occasions, and her overall visuals are wonderfully pleasing, but those are bonuses.

8. Yes, I agree with your sentiments. However,
when you read DU you keep seeing all of this crap about how President Obama is a tool of corporate interests and he doesn't have what is best for the American people on his agenda. I wish that the mods would delete the sort of crap that calls Obama a puppet of the ruling class so that everyone at DU can get behind our president.

Edited on Sat Apr-04-09 05:17 AM by iamthebandfanman
theres no need for their rebel rousin'!

how dare they demand more!

throw the bums out!

get a job!

p.s.
seriously tho, obama is 100x better than bush... but i dunno why that doesnt mean we cant demand even better from him. corporate interests have controlled this country since ww2(or before, its debatable as far back as the 20s). anybody calling obama a corporatist isnt singling him out ,they just expect better.. trust me. haha.

12. I loved it that he used his full name at that town hall meeting to make a point about international
... relations with the Muslim world.

I'm so proud of them both as they represent us, the American people, to other nations. What a difference it makes.

15. He uses his dual racial makeup and his international parentage
to good effect too. We make a mistake when we narrow him down to being black. He's both black and white. His parents are American and Kenyan. He's truly a representative of the US as the melting pot everyone thinks doesn't exist but does.

... and heartwarming to so many of us.

16. He was also referencing race relations in Europe.
I doubt there would be anywhere in Europe, whatever his story, that Obama could have been elected. France? Germany? Quite impossible.

The new hairdo is quite becoming and softened up her features.
