POTUS and Bo .... I dont need to add any more .....
Edited on Mon Apr-13-09 08:51 AM by Clio the Leo

ETA: oh .... and Jefferson .... that should have read "POTUS, Bo and Thomas Jefferson." At least I THINK that's supposed to be Thomas Jefferson at the end of the hall. :)

1. Kids love him. Dogs seem to love him. Both groups are good judges of character
Can't fake that affection.

21. Dogs ar pack animals and attach themselves to the pack.
But they also instinctively know who the leader of that pack is but the girls will not be denied any love and affection I am sure.

25. They should have known the deal when he said he didn't want a girly dog
I thought then I guess it will be your dog. He didn't embrace Michelle's comment when she said well we are girls and we should get a girlie dog...

He did say he took walks and being a candidate spoiled his long walks. The children will get some affection but if Obama does the walking and cuddling then it is a foregone conclusion. The bonding comes from spending all that time with the animal.

... of the last six months .... "Where's the dog?" "What kind of dog will it be?" "Will it be a shelter dog?" "What will they name it?" "Where's the dog?" "When is the dog coming?" "Will it be there tomorrow?" "Where's the dog?"

etcetera..... etcetera ..... etcetera. :)

TOMORROW my long national nightmare is over! lol

22. Great Pic
Animal Planet had a program(Breed All About It) about Portugese Water Dogs. They showed one owner who had a few and took them on her boat. She said that she would always bring a bag of garbage to place in the dumpster on the way to the boat with the dogs. One day she said that one of the dogs took the bag out of her hand and carried it to the dumpster. This is now his regular duty and they showed video of him taking the garbage to the dumpster. It was so cute.

27. Agreed.
I did not grow up with a dog. My sister got one. I dog sat for her about 2 months last year.

Now I can honestly say I understand why people go nuts about the mistreatment of animals (Mind you, I got it on a certain level before. But now that I have experience the dog's personality, moodiness, and loyalty, I can't imagine a world without the companionship offered by pets.).
