Banks paying back TARP funds with interest is a GOOD THING! |
|
It is funny that some in the media are acting like the businesses paying back their funds due to rules and restriction is a bad. If the taxpayers can loan money to a business and the business pays that money back, with interest, in a timely fashion that is a GOOD THING!
Its only a bad thing if they borrow that money, go out of business and don't pay us back.

1. I think most of those saying its a bad thing do so because |
|
.....theres no clarity of the real state of the banking industry financial health (Treasury keeping the "stress test" results secret doesnt help), and theres a serious concern these banks are putting on a show so they can pay off their existing TARP money just so they can feel free to waste resources giving their executives another round of massive bonuses, only to come crawling back to the government at a later date for more bailouts.
