Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton will debate each other next month. (updated)
Edited on Mon Apr-20-09 09:43 PM by ProSense

Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton will debate each other next month.

Former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush will meet for a debate late next month. The event will take place on Friday, May 29th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. We're told the “debate” will occur in the form of a moderated question-and-answer session, rather than a more lively exchange between the two Presidents.

Oh, puke!

When will they stop propping up this morally bankrupt asshole?

Update:

7. Most likely,
but what's the point. This just seems so odd weeks after the torture memos are released. I can see the media using this as an opportunity to hype Bush's credibility.

What's the point?

30. Really? Bill was Ws lefthand man selling Iraq war to Blair, Dem lawmakers and American public.
Bill used his summer2004 book tour to support and VIGOROUSLY DEFEND Bush's decisions on terrorism and Iraq from the criticisms of the 'left' being launched at the time by the Democratic presidential nominee.

33. I think he will too
but it will be interesting to see if he can outclass Bush as much as Senator Kerry did.

I think Kerry's skill made Bush look worse than he really is. He did far better against Gore (who still beat him) and Richardson. Bush was never the idiot some here wanted to paint him - he was worse, he knew what he was doing and did many awful things.

It is interesting that no one is answering you and others replies though. I wish blm good luck in getting people to see that in the still admiration of BC and hatred of W.

3. And if Bush was CAPABLE of engaging in an exchange that was lively or intelligent...
.... that might be interesting.

As it is .... I'm predicting a bi-partisan Obama love fest.

34. Think of the expectations
If Bush simply keeps his cool and gives the same answers to things he always does, he will sound better than people will expect him too. Think of debate 1 in 2004, he was pathetic, but if Kerry wouldn't have been near letter perfect, the coverage would have been whatever thing Kerry said wrong.

Here, Clinton can beat him to the ground on 90% of the questions, but if Bush can get Clinton angry or get him to say anything controversial, that is likely what we will hear.

13. I think the two most popular theories could be:
A. Bill Clinton has the opportunity to tear Bush a new * and thus expose him as a, well, *.

or...

B. Bill Clinton just can't resist an opportunity to grab a mic and get in front of people.

25. They're just one big happy family....
?

Maybe eventually people will wake up about the Clintons. Maybe eventually people will wake up about Barack Obama. Maybe when people look back and wonder what happened to the United States of America.

What happened was everyone was taken for fools. Which they were.

or another option which could be more than likely,
Bill loves the lime light and is trying to grab it from
the President.

Furthermore, (controversy statement, beware) Bill and Bush
Sr are trying to bailout Jr, with all the bailout these days,
no surprises....:tinfoilhat:

It'll be fun T.V....B-) can't wait.

Backstabbing the presidential nominee with every interview he stuck up for Bush against the left's criticisms and attacks.

has always been on his side. Those who think Bush 'fears' Clinton don't know much about the last 3 decades and the Bush-Clinton-Bush alliance.

And smart enough to get Bill Clinton to use his high profile summer2004 booktour to support and vigorously defend Bush's decisions on terrorism and Iraq against the criticisms being launched at the time by the Dem nominee.

Bill will be helping rehab Bush2 rehab his legacy the same way he rehabbed and protected Poppy Bush and his cronies.
