7. Altitude is a function of lift vs drag |
|
Well, specifically - lift, drag, thrust and gravity.
And Obama clearly has the thrust and lift right now.
Anyone who claims differently is denying basic physics!

It must really annoy my cousin-in-law who I finally cut ties with because I got sick of the vitriolic anti-Obama crap she continually sent me.
All the made up crap that she takes as fact can't compete with reality. We have a popular president. IT must really suck to be on the wrong side of this one. :o)

I am beginning to get disillusioned about President Obama. He said he would end the wars immediately after taking office. He also said he would rein in spending. My Lord... they are acting like Bush with all the new spending. Eventually it will mean more taxes on everyone, not just the rich. I am losing my home, my job is in doubt and he has done nothing. I'm sorry but I am trying to be patient, but I don't see what all the joy is about.

Obama hasn't solved all of the world's problems in 100 days.
He also didn't get my grandson a pony.
What a loser.

14. I don't think you were listening. Some facts for you |
|
Obama didn't say he'd "end the wars immediately". He said he wanted to end the mission in Iraq responsibly so that we could concentrate on the Afghan-Pakistan front where the terrorist core is. He said that consistantly throughout the campaign. I don't know how you could have missed that.
He said he would rein in spending, certainly, and he's taking steps toward doing that. But the stimulus package for pushing the economy past the current recession is a necessary exigency--one that any economically literate leader would do. Ongoing (non stimulus) spending is under review and will be reduced in the coming years. The cabinet is currently identifying areas where that can be done. He's keeping that promise, but he has another promise to keep that involves getting American working again.
Will we all end up paying more taxes? Maybe, but it's payments for the amount of government that we're buying. The problem with Bush was that, like a spoiled brat, his administration was unwilling to pay for the stuff they bought--in the case of funding Iraq, they wouldn't admit that it even had a price tag. Obama is dealing with the budgeting process honestly and without the Bushite slight of hand stunts. It's an entirely different process--and by different, I mean "mature".
I'm sorry you don't see what the joy is about--the joy is about a country that's behaving responsibly again and living up to its values.

for anyone else, but the joy for me is watching heads like yours explode while posting total bullshit.
This is a board full of intelligent folks. When you start a post off spewing bs about Obama sayind he'd end the war immediately, you lose any credibility that you might have been hoping to achieve.
Time for you to run along and come back when you have some grown up facts to discuss.
