Michael Wiener Savage is devoting his show to his ban from the UK. If you
have the stomach for it, tune in.
I listen sometimes just to hear the fool rant.

1. Aw hell, most of his listeners are gonna get confused when he says England in one
sentence and United Kingdom in the next and then Great Britain in the third!

And we're in agreement! :toast:

4. It's his actual last name.
(but you're right, it should be spelled with SMALL letters).

18. Well there is another thread about Obama being open to another moon
mission. Maybe if we tell the Savage dork that we're making him lunar ambassador we can get him to go along. And...forget to bring him back... :P

8. I have about a 20 minute drive home from work, so I tuned in yesterday
and today to listen to his head explode. Yesterday, he was blaming the Queen and Prince Charles for this, because he'd "dissed" the Prince, and then he blamed Obama (of course). Today, he was blaming "the gays", because of his position on homosexuality, and then a caller said it was probably Al Gore, because Weiner proves that global warming is a hoax, and Weiner thinks that is a real possibility.

Oh, and yesterday he was going to break the economy of England, because all of his listeners will refuse to go there until they lift the ban. And this will destroy their country.

He said he doesn't intend to talk about anything else until the ban is lifted and he then proceeded to insult the Brits and their government, which in my mind, just proved the Home Secretary's point about his devisiveness.

14. Surely, a boycott from Wiener's listeners will frighten the UK into
lifting the ban. :sarcasm:

11. The day it broke I predicted a permanent erection for him behind this.
It makes him feel relevant, it's energized him.

He had run out of material, now he's got a new routine.

12. I turned on "Relevant Radio" driving home today and the idiot
on that was frothing at the mouth that this was a violation of Savage's 1st Amendment rights (seriously). Had I not been driving I would have tried to call in and see if I could get the dim bulb to understand that the U.K. does not have a "first amendment".

17. Yep, no "1st Amendment" in UK, plus UK isn't stopping him speak.
Dr. Michael Weiner has been making full use of the 1st Amendment in the very country where it exists: here in the USA. Whilst the UK has free speech (and you can say exactly what you want to speak) if however that speech hurts there are consequences. Dr. Weiners' "free speech" has hurt and the UK government as stated by "Batty Jacqui" that he is no longer welcome in the country.

If Dr. Weiner is going to file a lawsuit, that's fine. He could well win, but the Home Office guys are "usually" quite thorough and would most likely have a good number of audio clips to play in court that support the Home Offices' decision to restrict him.

Now if some child porn would accidentally end up on his site and the Internet Watch Foundation got wind of it, then his site would get blocked in the UK.

Edited on Fri May-08-09 12:16 AM by CitizenLeft
Why in the hell they gave him the platform to spew his BS and discussed it for 2 segments - and defended him - is beyond me. They kept calling him "controversial." No, he's not "controversial," he's a freaking hate-mongering racist prick, and if GB wants to ban him, that's their right. I screamed at the TV the whole time. He raged about his constitutional right to free speech - as if the British government is subject to our constitution. Idiot. Of all the rightwing nutjobs, I despise him the most, followed closely by Limbaugh, Coulter, Ingraham amd that moron Lars Larsen. They can all take a cottage together on that stinking floating island of garbage in the Pacific and make us all happy.
