I knew that one of the goals of the Reagan administration was to dismantle |

everything that was for the common good, starting with the New Deal.
What I did not know, and am not surprised, is that they removed the solar panels that Carter installed on the White House.
What difference would it have made, except to show that they did not care about alternative energy? I hope that Obama will install them again, for a lot more money now, no doubt.

At least, I think that plans to put his face on the dime (I think) are dead.

A friend suggested that Reagan had friends in the oil industry who probably told him that they were "offended" by solar panels in the White House..
