1. Let us never forget that Clinton/Gore handed off a HUGE report on terrorism,

specifically labeling Osama bin Laden as the number one threat,

to which Cheney said "We'll do our own research" or some such idiocy, and they completely ignored the report.

5. It's altogether bush, cheney & co fault that so many died so horribly

on that day. It's a fact. bush spent all of his time on vacation & cheney was wrapped up with stealing Iraq's oil & "missile defense".

8. I've always wondered about the timing of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the first WTC attack...

Berlin Wall fell in 1989
First WTC attack was in 1993

The "fall of communism" took place during Bush the Elected's administration, and the first WTC attack took place on February 26, 1993. Clinton was in office only about a month, so we can say planning the attack took place during Bush's term.

So, what am I driving at here? The USA has always have to have a "boogieman." During the first part ot the 20th century it was the anarchists. Then following WWII it was the communist. And communism pretty much dictated American foreign, domestic, and fiscal policy, until 1989. Eisenhower warned us about the military-industrial complex. But I'm sure we DUers know, there's no profit in peace.

Well, take a look at these two years: 1989 and 1993.

The Berlin Wall falls. Remember talk about the "peace dividend?" That we were going to have oodles more money for social/education/health programs that we wouldn't be spending on defense? Well, what happened with that?

Instead we get...(fanfare) "terrorism!" That's right, from anarchist to communist to terrorist. America's "new boogieman."

And all this happened under George H W Bush: We barely had four years of "peace."

But the big boys are making out like bandits!

10. Both ignored/rejected the Hart Rudman Commission Report. A bi partisan effort

to address Terrorism in America....3 years in the making, Newt among those who participated, and handed to Bush in Jan of 2001.

They dumped it and said "We gonna do it our way" and Bush put Cheney in charge of Terrorism and how to address...Nothing done until AFTER 9/11

Cheny dropped the Ball

Bush dropped the Ball cause he let Cheney drop the ball....

Then, Aug 6th...them warnings were presented to Bush...action? Nothing!

12. Ahhh, they did not drop the ball.

They were waiting patiently till they could put their plan in action. With all the warnings, there was no way they could not know about the coming attack. The part of the public that was paying attention knew, why didn't our government?
