Wow, Republicans really want to alienate all their non-white male voters (Re: SCOTUS) |
|
Sure there will be a bit of fight - that's expected. But if the Republicans filibuster Sotomayor, one btw that was appointed to the bench by George Bush Sr, you can bet that what few hispanic votes the republicans are getting will pretty much be out the door - and this could have major impact in states like New Mexico and Arizona, 2 states that are teetering on the edge of going total blue again.
So go ahead republicans, filibuster all you want. Show us how you are the party of pasty old white men!

1. They have zero chance of holding anything up with a fillibuster |
|
They are too weak, Obama could seat elmer fudd and it would pass.

7. My friend had a cousin who was a major right-wing nutjob hispanic republican |
|
He was so against illegal immigration and it turned out he was technically one too. But he felt since he was working in his uncle's business doing something a bit more than 'picking fruit' (his uncle was a contractor) that he wasn't one of those 'illegals'. I had to explain to him that an illegal is an illegal is an illegal.
Shame, the guy was really good looking and a great kisser but his politics was a major turn-off.
