Sonia Sotomayor= Why we all worked so hard to get President Obama elected |
|
Edited on Tue May-26-09 11:10 AM by NJmaverick
Good nominations to the Supreme Court was one of the critical reasons why Obama had to be elected. It's great to see a major pay off of our efforts so early in his Presidency.
Imagine who McCain would have nominated?

"Sotomayor often forges consensus and agreeing with her more conservative nominees far more frequently than she disagrees with them. In cases where Sotomayor and at least one judge appointed by a Republican president were on the three-judge panel, Sotomayor and the Republican appointee(s) agreed on the outcome 95% of the time.""?
Maybe she's the best we could have hoped for considering Obama's sharp DLC wolf in sheep's clothing turn, but for all we know, McCain would have picked another Souter and we might have ended up much better served in the long term.
