Sonofagun. Turley's remarks are now r/w talking points. |
|
RE: Sotomayor, and her 'lack of intellect'. Also Jeffrey Rosen's piece in TNR. :argh:
Just great. Curt Levey, Committee for Justice.

1. I thought it was a RW talking point before he said it... |
|
if not, then it's sure not surprising they'd snap that up.

2. Turley and Rosen were specifically cited. So I guess, mission |
|
accomplished for Turley. He's getting the recognition he so craves. :eyes:

3. That would make it 2 out of 3 in the Turley feeds Republicans category |

(1) His argument for the "necessity" of the Clinton impeachment
(2) His "lack of intellect" argument re: Sotomayor
I'm not even sure his 3rd point--deport the untriable detainees to Afghanistan and Iraq--is not another Republican boon (to the NIMBY crowd opposing closing Gitmo). He is no friend of progressives. Sorry.

6. Did you see Turley last night? He certainly toned down his |
|
criticism, or couched it in wussy words for the evening audience.
Yes, I wish KO would find a better lawyer who's not so convincingly biased.

8. This reminds me of when KO gave Dana Milbank the heave-ho. |
|
Got too big for his britches. I can't remember the details, can anyone else?

9. Per this, Milbank switched stations, |
|
alleviating the need for KO to can his ass. It had to do with a partial quote Milbank was dishonest about... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/08/05/dana-milbank-leaving-coun_n_116997.html

7. At Least He's Not A Dem Senator |
|
Today on David Sirota radio show, they played a clip of Mark Udall saying he's not sure how he'll vote. In a state full of Hispanics who helped put both Obama and Udall in office last year, I think he will vote for her, but this sound bite will be used against on right-wingy radio over and over.
