Why No 'Lucky Me I Won The Trifecta' Ads?
Remember how not long after Sept. 11 aWol* used that horrible line at several fundraisers across the country? Surely there is still a tape or recording around of it. I wonder if the Sept. 11 Jersey Girls are aware of it. I thought then it would make a great AD to use against him. He is shameless and that one line epitomizes it for me... :grr:

1. "Unless there's a conflict on the scale of WWII"
There won't be any draft. This is what Cheney said in Oregon. This is the new equivalent. Not very reassuring.

My point was that they are leaving themselves an out. While claiming they can get by without a selective service draft, they are leaving the conditional small print. One wonders about the size of the conflict they have in mind. The repeated use of the WWII comparison by this administration is troubling.

There is virtually no way the existing military manpower system can go on to meet the huge demands levied upon them. All restrictions on use of national guard and reserve forces are subject to being lifted by this administration, but the physical and logistical exhaustion of this inadequate system will not be overcome by using recycled reserve forces on a repeated basis.
