1. Fox is running away from their part of stirring up hatred. |
|
They are just as much part of this as the ones pulling the triggers.
They are a propaganda organization, and now they are scared.

4. Shep is really the only free one. Cavuto blamed Obama for the economy and why the guy went craz |

Not to mention never named the victim. And the rest are just a mess. Fox & Friends particularly.

7. I switched to Fox to see what angle they were taking. On Cavuto, |
|
some right wingnut was criticizing right wing extremists. I'll bet he won't be back.

17. I've had the same feeling. He really praises Obama alot, even tho he doesn't always |
|
agree with his policies.
And he seems smart enough to see what a stupid nutcase Palin is.

6. Is Shepard Smith geniune? |
|
Or is this some kind of effort to distance Fox from this madness?
I genuinely don't know. I saw his "We are American, we do not f**king torture" comment, which was powerful stuff, but then I thought...how can a guy who feels that way about these issues work for Fox News? True, it's a job, but still.
Is he genuine?

8. I think his schtick gives FauxNews some plausible deniability |
|
when people try to attack them as completely right wing and nothing but propaganda they can point to him and his rants. It's stupid, but apparently it works for some on this board.

9. Shep needs to resign from Fox "news" now! |
|
From their "terrorist fist bump" to the woman who called for Obama's demise, to Hannity and Rove, Fox has spread the hate and misinformation and fanned the flames for these sick individuals and now they act like they aren't part of the problem.

|
It certainly doesn't fit the Fox mold.
Good job by him, though.

13. Maybe at least, CNN. Since Lou Dobbs' show is tanking (from another thread here on DU), maybe they |
|
can just switch the two. Faux gets Lou Dobbs, and CNN gets Shep Smith.

14. Uh...didn't Fox News have a major hand in creating these people? |
|
It's surreal seeing Fox News decrying their actions and existence.
You reap what you sow, Fox.

16. Shep has his moments of being normal. |
|
He kept talking about how the DHS report predicted this, and how so many people trashed that report.
He went ballistic about how bsh ignored Katrina, and he went ballistic about torture.
I think he can be saved.

20. I think deep down he is a good guy but he has been there so long |
|
and I think he was a Repub but a moderate one. The Rethugs are driving the moderates away. Shep should jump ship to CNN or MSNBC.
