When I moved up here in 1975 I was so proud to have him as my senator, remembering how he had read the Pentagon Papers into the Congressional record and fought so hard to end the Vietnam War. That was back in the good old days when Alaska was still a progressive place and hadn't yet been corrupted by Big Oil and crazy religious fanatics like Sarah Palin. I really miss those days...
