Sarah Palin and the Media.
A couple of my girlfriend's family recently saw the mockumetary by John Ziegler http://www.howobamagotelected.com/">"Media Malpractice: How Obama Won the Election and Sarah Palin Was Targeted".

It is a propaganda pice claiming that Obama "paid off the media" to give him favorable coverage and "target" Sarah Palin to unfairly portray her unfavorably. From what I understand most of the movie is an interview with Palin. To help prove his point, he commissioned a http://www.zogby.com/news/wf-dfs.pdf">Zogby Poll to "prove" that Obama supporters did not understand the issues in the election. However, the "issues" in the poll had nothing to do with the real issues but RW talking points such as William Ayers, Biden gaffes, and other debunked and/or "non-stories" that he believes were under-reported in the media.

And now we have all this hype over how Letterman "unfairly" attacked her.

Palin is obviously trying to garner sympathy and convince people that she was and is being unfairly treated by the "Liberal Media" and "gotcha" interview techniques.

Of course, Palin has no one to blame for her poor performance in the media but herself.

I find it ironic that people like the Libertarian Ziegler (a RW talk radio host who keeps getting fired because of his behaviour) and Palin who keep touting "personal responsibility" are so quick to blame others and not take responsibility for their own poor performances.

1. Sarah Palin really has been convinced that it was a huge media conspiracy
that didn't get her elected. She sounds deranged and paranoid...the candidate who must be obeyed? Plus, everyone catch that Palin originally HEARD about the joke (she said this on the Today show, though she first heard about the "slutty fight attendant joke) when JOHN ZIEGLER asked her about it on his radio show the other day?

5. "The candidate who must be obeyed."
That was the creepiest thing she said in that interview. The woman is so seriously deranged.

2. In addition to being fired for being a RW whack job that even the RW cannot stand
Ziegler has also been fired and sued for discussing the genitalia of his former girl friend on his radio show.

He is extremely misoginistic and that he now claims that Palin suffers from sexism in the media is chutzpah on steroids.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Ziegler_(talk_show_host)

In 2002, wanting to return to radio, Ziegler was hired by Louisville, Kentucky radio station WHAS. Once again, his tenure did not last long, as during a Ask John Anything segment, he discussed the physical attributes, intimate attire, and genital grooming of Darcie Divita, a former Los Angeles Lakers cheerleader and WDRB morning television host with whom Ziegler had a relationship until Divita broke up with him. WHAS fired him on August 27, 2003, and Divita sued for $2,700,000, claiming libel and defamation of character. However, on May 24, 2005, Ziegler was found not liable for damages as Divita was deemed a public figure by virtue of being a television personality. The case is currently on appeal.

Subsequent to his experiences of being fired and sued for saying what he believes was the truth, he has authored another book, The Death of Free Speech,<18> which claims that American discourse has suffered because of political correctness, and that these taboos are not consistently enforced

4. He's for the RW version of free speech.
Only those who agree with him should be free to say anything they want.

8. Exactly
The GOP and Right Wing didn't invent hypocrisy and the double standard but they have certainly refined them to the status of a high art.

7. Good ol' gal Sarah did herself in with her lack of knowledge.
If she was smart enough to be president of the US then she would have been able to handle any media crap thrown at her.

I guess we know the answer to that.
