DKos: TN Republican Staffer Caught Forwarding DISGUSTING Racist Obama Picture

"Earlier today, a legislative staffer forwarded well-known West Tennessee blogger Newscoma a picture they had been sent from another staffer. It's supposed to be an "historical keepsake photo" of the Presidents. But no picture of President Obama--instead, just a "spook."

Because, haha, in addition to being another word for a ghost, "spook" is also a racial slur against African-Americans! Funny! Not.

The staffer who originally sent around the picture has now been revealed to be Sherri Goforth, an executive assistant for Republican State Senator Diane Black of Gallatin (a suburb of Nashville). When contacted by Nashville Is Talking/WKRN Channel 2 (our ABC affiliate) blogger Christian Grantham, not only did Goforth refuse to apologize, all she could do was claim that she had simply sent it "from the wrong email address. In other words, not sorry that she sent out a blatantly racist email, only sorry that she got caught."

For crying-out-loud people...THIS IS 2009!!! 

Whoa…hey great news everyone! The Republicans are on the wane
right. Well, this will only push them further into historical
oblivion. All the king’s horses and all the king’s men won’t
be able to fix Rushy Boy ever again!! Okay, Mike, try to
wiggle outta this one!!

These stupid gestures that seem to permeate all over the place
today really SUX!!! Obama hasn’t had a chance yet. If he were
to merely sit on his keester and do nothing for the next four
to eight years, he’d emulate every administration since
Nixon!! GIVE HIM A CHANCE!! These types of “burps” in our
supposed “societal wisdom” (uh, we are the leaders of the free
world, right?) will bring us down a path that no one wants.
Let the man do the best he can (just like anyone would want)
and wait and see. He could become the greatest president
Lincoln. 

The Presidential Portrait Gallery is SUPPOSED to be a proud
heritage of our “great country”…right?? So how can anyone (let
alone any staffer from either party-supposed to be
professional, right?) degrade such a portrait with such vile
and despicable intrusion! I am ashamed to be only “part-white”
and stand aside as this antebellum-type, pre-Civil War
caricature is allowed. Don’t fire her…charge her with
de-facing public property!!
