"They will be no draft under John Kerry"
insert this line everytime JK, Edwards, Dean or whoever talks about Iraq. Repeat it over and over and over again. Don't say what Bush will do or might do about it, just say that a John Kerry adminstration will not bring back the draft.

People will get the message without having to spell it out.

1. I would say it if I felt it to be true.
I know I'm in the small minority here who believes draft is likely, whomever the president. That said I'm fully behind Kerry's election.

3. I meant
mostly for people who give public speeches likely to be covered by the press. It works even locally though. Nothing like a draft reminder to wake up teens and their moms. Bush's policies lead to the draft. He will at least attack Iran and Syria if elected...

5. I'm part of that minority also
I don't think Kerry wants to start a draft, but I do think things in Iraq are already so screwed up, it is very likely to be inevitable that one happens.
Unless the U.S. completely cuts and runs.

4. I'm Wondering If Kerry Will Bring This Up In The Debates !!!
Or even before. Get Bush to go on the record.

"Mr. President, can you tell us now if you are going to reinstate the draft? There have been signs at the Selective Service that you may. Can you reassure the American people of your position here? And if you think that we may need the draft one day, will there be any exemptions\deferments?"

Somethin like that.

6. not a good strategy
because Bush will deny it. Better leave it hangin....open in the air that Bush might do that.

7. Compare JK's open plans for nat VOLUNTEER service
Versus the secret plans for BFEE to implement Special Skills Draft IN ADDITION to a combat draft. Just because it isn't labeled "combat" doesn't mean bombs won't go off.

With Kerry, there is a chance to scale back and choices for service, whether foreign or domestic.
BFEE is a lying flipflop hermit crab usurper PNAC juggernaut.
