"Countdown" sells more books than "Morning Joe!"

Despite hawking his book on every media outlet known to man, Joe Scarborough's book "The Last Best Hope" came in at number 7 on the NY times best sellers list. However Richard Wolffe's book about Barack Obama and the Presidential campaign called "Renegade" is number 4! HA!

For some reason that makes me very happy!

I ordered "Renegade" online and I am reading it now. I highly recommend it.

2. In fairness, selling books is always an uphill battle when your target audience is illiterate.

4. I am not an expert in selling books...

but with all the publicity and fee advertising he got, to be #7 has to be disappointing.

He has been on The View, The Today Show, and just about every media outlet MSNBC offers. Heck, he even went on Thom Hartman's show to hawk is book!

Maybe I'm wrong, but is #7 a bad opening week with that much free pub!

"Renegade" opened at #4 and has been in the top 5 for two straight weeks without nearly the "free" ad campaign.

3. CNN should love Joe Scarborough
Until 9:00 am, so many die-hard MSNBC viewers like me are tuned to CNN (sometimes C-Span). Can't stand Joe, his voice ruins my morning...

I can't imagine who would buy his book. Lefties who watch MSNBC won't, and righties who don't watch MSNBC won't buy it because they won't hear about it anywhere else.

5. Maybe it's just that more people want to read about Obama
than about The Last Best Dope.
