Does anyone know if there will be any form of tort reform as part of coming health reform? |
|
Being asked by wing nuts. Thanks.

Tell them to research the % of health care costs in relation to medical malpractice awards - with most of the awards going toward payment of medical expenses to fix the underlying problem.

3. Ask them how much of a factor law suits are in health care costs. |
|
They will either not know or will lie.

never be substantive reform in any area. The only way that will ever change is for things to get so bad that The People march en masse on the Capitol, swarm through its corridors, send every legislator running for their lives, destroy everything in sight and make a huge bonfire of Senators' desks and other assorted debris in the Rotunda.
Barring that, no.

6. I think the republicans are more consumed with TART reform. |

Looks like Sanford and repukes have a tart in every corner.
On the subject of tort reform - it is a bogus republican issue. Health care law suits are not what is driving up the cost of health care. What drives the costs of health care in this country is the outrageous CEO salaries, huge administrative departments and the health insurance drive for profits off people's health.
