Countering Swift Boat Propaganda: The Money Wake |
|
I read an interesting article in the print edition of the Houston Chronicle. It mentioned some more people who are giving big sums of money of the so-called "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth."
That outfit will supposedly start airing commercials in Reno and Albuquerque.
My question is how much of a financial impact these people's avatar have had on places like Nevada and New Mexico for the last couple of years. Have gasoline and natural gas prices gone up during the last couple of years? Have electric rate payers in those places ended up paying more for their utilities because of *'s activities, and have the "Swift Boat" backers benefited from the price rises?
If so, someone OUGHT to make an issue of that.

1. These guys are not financing these ads... |
|
out of the goodness of their hearts, are they? Bush's big-bucks Texas/energy backers act solely out of self-interest, and the expectation of even bigger bucks. This should be an issue.
