So did Michael Steele ever issue a comment on Orly? |
|
After Orly appeared on the show, Schuster said they'd have Steele's comment. But I never saw it.
Perhaps Steele was dumbstruck and in the end decided to stay buttoned up.

'The RNC spokesperson Gail Gitcho sent the following statement:
“Chairman Steele believes that this is an unnecessary distraction and believes that the president is a U.S. citizen. Chairman Steele wants to move beyond this conversation and continue discussing the real and immediate concerns that face American families like the economy and health care. Americans are concerned with President Obama’s health care plan, a failed stimulus package and a ballooning deficit. Chairman Steele has many other issues to take up with the president that have to do with policy, not a birth certificate.”
Steele hadn’t criticized birtherism before, his spokesperson says. His decision to do so now suggests that he recognizes that the party is increasingly being hurt by the views of out of touch, delusional hilly-billy cheese monkeys, who refuse to believe that the American Civil War is over.
Brother Michael Steele has a tough fight to win. What with the lunatic rump of the Republican Party getting quite restive and vocal and increasingly creating a huge international embarrassment for the educated brass of that dying party.

7. He was supposed to make a statement today after her appearance with Schultz and Hall this afternoon |
|
But this statement from the other day makes sense and begs repeating. Thanks.

It was something about these distractions are not helpful. Need to stop the distractions so that we can discuss the issues, yadda yadda yadda.
Then he goes back behind closed doors and tells the GOP henchmen, discussing the issues is not helpful. We need to stop dialogue on the issues and create more distractions, yadda yadda yadda...How's the astroturfing going?
