What ACTION have you taken to advocate for the best plan - HR676 - the bill for Single Payer that Nancy Pelosi will allow a vote on (after summer recess)?

If EVERYONE who supports single payer calls & demands it (that is MILLIONS AND MILLIONS) of us, we might actually have a shot of getting it. I am always appalled when I see people writing on this board - we can't get it - Obama won't let us - it can't happen - without even BEGINNING to fight.

If you look at the majority of posts on DU (as of late), very FEW actually discuss organization and activism to influence our elected leaders to support the best health care reform plan.

We need to regroup. It seems the VAST majority want either single payer, or a plan with a strong public option.

The public option is being diluted to a mere political gesture of appeasement, and it has served to diffuse organization around the best plan ON THE TABLE in Congress.

HR676.

So, let's all call in & demand it. Call the White House - 1 202 456 1111

Call your Senator & Congresspeople.

Tell them you want HR626 - and then get anyone else who wants this type of health care reform to pick up the phone & call.

Even if you think it won't work. Even if you think it is futile.....

Because of every person who has given up on real health reform would take this simple action, we might just get their attention.

Millions of phone calls could do that - and it can start with you.

Start a chain reaction - push & push & push. FIGHT the good FIGHT.

Our health & financial well being depend on it.
