So far, Obama's approach is Hooverian, which actually might be the correct approach. His efforts to forestall further economic collapse have reinforced existing economic power structures.
But he's not FDR.

Blamed the liberals for not drumming up enough support and Congress legislated against it with a veto-proof majority.
He added that he still supports overturning it.
