Maybe we should spread false emails about Republicans |
|
Edited on Fri Aug-14-09 09:27 AM by Becky72
If the attempts to reform health care fail in part because of the misinformation being spread out there...we should maybe start accusing Republicans of saying stuff they didn't say, in the form of viral chain emails? That would at least keep them busy trying to counter this claims, and the public will be so overwhelmed with information that they will not bother reading chain emails at all.
Let the media be forced to post headlines such as "Grassley did not advocate the assassination of babies 2 years old or younger" or "Orin Hatch does not want to make child porn legal."
Some would say "let's not stoop to their level." But we will continue to be in the defensive and Republicans will win again.

1. "republicans will win again" |
|
No... they won't.
Their lies made them lose in 2006.
Their lies made them lose in 2008.
We won both times because we told the truth.
The biggest edge we have over them right now is that our side acts like grownups and their side doesn't.
The famous quote, "Never get into a mud wrestling battle with a pig...the pig likes it and you just end up dirty" applies here.
If we stoop to their level, they win. Independent and normal-thinking voters will move away from us.
Ignore the loud screaming on the right and the viral email chains. It shows they're losing.
"The truth shall set you free". Remember that. Live it.

2. No. You don't stoop to their level. |

I'm sorry, but Obama's not going to get mean just because that's what you think he should do.

3. funny thing is that you wouldn't have to make anything up, but, if |
|
for the principle of it you could make outrageous statements that most would realize were false, it would be a clear smack in the face to the otherside's ridiculous statements.

is so outrageous that we don't need to make up anything. Spread the truth it's too bad to even sound real.

6. Adlai Stevenson III said it best... |
|
..."If the Republicans will stop telling lies about the Democrats, we will stop telling the truth about them."
Think about it: Nothing we could make up could be worse than the truth of the last 8 years with a Repuke in the White House.
