These people really don't like being out of power

and when they are out of power, look out. You'll have a temper tantrum on your hands akin to a little child who didn't get the X-Box he wanted for Christmas.

1. Little children
Right there you have the answer. What we need to give Republicans is a fake government to run, similar to a car seat for a 3-year old that has a steering wheel on it. The Republicans and the 3-year old can both pretend to steer and honk the horn and navigate, which calms their tantrum down, but everyone else knows they are just playing.

2. I've said it before: Star Trek holodeck technology.
We need it right now. Let them go in there and create the Armageddon they so desperately want, and we can finally get to work cleaning up the mess they Left Behind.

4. I feel bad for them, but not very much.
I guess they'd really get upset if Cheney were arrested as a war criminal...Just a fond dream, though.

6. Well, if you think about it, historically they've had the Presidency
When Johnson announced he wasn't running for reelection they took the Presidency with Nixon in 1968.

Only Watergate lost them the Presidency after the Ford default through 1976. So eight full years.

Carter takes over in 1976 and promptly gets his ass handed to him by Iran. Four years.

Reagan wins two terms. 16 years of Republicans.

Bush wins one term and lies about taxes. 20 years of Republican rule vs our four.

Clinton wins two terms on political talent and economic success. Democrats now have 12 years of executive power.

GWB steals an election and scares everyone into a second term. We are now up to 28 years of Republican rule vs 12 years of Democratic Rule.

Since 1968.

Obama has been in office for 7 months.
