Also, Rather closed AGAIN by mentioning Bush's "Honorable Discharge" |

Edited on Mon Sep-20-04 05:58 PM by Stephanie
But have we ever seen Bush's final discharge papers? Isn't that one of the documents that he still hasn't turned over?
I think there is a revelation still to come with regard to this so-called "Honorable Discharge." Show me the DD-214.

1. I think he ought to retract that statement! |
|
Where is the proof he got an honorable discharge? Maybe those documents, if they exist, are forgeries too!

2. Again, this has been talked over many times.... |
|
Guardsmen do not receive a DD214. That is for active duty personnel only. The ANG uses something called, I think, an ANG-22. Bush received one of those in Oct., 1973. The issues surrounding it aren't entirely clear, though, the primary one being that Bush might have been released from the TX ANG to find a new unit in Massachusetts, something he did not do.
Cheers.

3. Doesn't he get some final document? |
|
Is the document that releases him from TX to go to MA the same as the document that releases him from the Guard entirely? I thought there was a document missing still.

4. There are documents released... |
|
... after his six years (which should have been 6-1/2) were up, essentially moving him from inactive reserve status to inactive status. Again, the issues are the holes in his record, and whether things were done for him that should not have been, according to regulation.

7. I really don't care anymore, I want to talk about now |
|
If we spend anymore time talking about 30 years ago I'm gonna puke. No one cares and we aren't going to win over moderate voters on this stuff anyway. Iraq, healthcare, education, economy, environment.... we win all of those arguments. Instead, we seem intent on stabbing ourselves in the face repeatedly, smearing the blood on the camera while we're doing it.
