Dem vs. Rep new voter registrations - would love to see for all states
Here are the Oregon data.

http://www.sos.state.or.us/elections/votreg/04mvr.htm

Note that these stats preceded, for the most part, the intense registration efforts of ACT, moveon, DNC, unions, etc., but for the first six months of 2004, new Dem registrations exceeded new Rep registrations by about 50,000 per month.

1. Pennsylvania - Nov 2003 through April 2004, looks like about
500,000 more Dems that Republicans registered.

Campaign Underground is invaluable.

Doesn't anybody else want to play?

2. NC
voter registration is up overall.

> More than 204,000 people already have registered to vote in North Carolina so far in 2004 - increasing the overall voter rolls by 4 percent to 5.2 million, according to the State Board of Elections. Individual counties also are reporting application backlogs.

4. Thanks. Found this table on the Secy' State's page
January:

http://www.sboe.state.nc.us/stats/vr_stats_results.asp?EC=2004%2F01%2F01&B2=Submit

09/18/04:

http://www.sboe.state.nc.us/stats/vr_stats_results.asp?EC=2004%2F09%2F18&B2=Submit

If I'm reading the tables right:

D R
2464399 1811886

And if I'm doing my math right, from January through 09/18, it looks like the Reps have a slight edge in new registrations in NC.

Query dates here:

3. NC dem vs rep
9/18/04
Dem 2,464,399
Rep 1,811,886

8/21/04
Dem 2,426,737
Rep 1,774,025

from 8/21/04 to 9/18/04:

37,662 Dem
37,861 Rep

Still more Dems overall! Just getting them to vote that way in this state is the task at hand.
